True Treasure From The Oregon High Desert.

I have spent close to 20 years as a rockhound and lapidary collector. Before that, I was in exploration geology for 12 years and became knowledgeable about various rocks.

Having been raised in Redmond . . I had the whole Oregon High Desert at my feet. One of my first finds was some world class Petrified Black Walnut from the PRINCESS MINE. After a few trips,I had hundreds of pounds of PRINCESS PLUME and Canary Plume Agate. Later I found RAINBOW IRIS AGATE up there. I highlight lapidary material from the BLUE SKY MINE. It produces a wide variety of jaspers and jaspagates, jasperized burnt black petrified wood from THE TREE MYSTERY. Near all the material from there has marcasite and heavy metals (trace gold and silver) in matrix. The mine produces a variety of products like gemstone agate,jaspagate, Blood Jasper. Here is a list of some of them.I use a complex name systen to establish value. The price is set by the amount of heavy metals.

1. MAGIC . . . This is the spendy grade. This will have trace gold,silver,mercury in a marcasite alloy. They will be "in matrix" and occlluded both. This is a metal dominant Jaspagate. There is a Blue Magic that is a top grade. The metals give an EMF power added to the Piezoelectric force of the silica creating a synergistic force that the brain can tune into. This is very sparkling and full of razzle-dazzle in bright light or sunlight.

2. Magical . . This is similar to Magic . . . however the metals are finer and harder to see. This grade is often quite affordable.

3. Mystery . . This is burnt black petrified wood that was formed up into the vein of agate and jasper. The carbon from the burnt wood caused a chemical reaction to the minerals in solution of the highly acidic silica.It reduced the minerals to metals by reduction. I find it a mystery that an organic tree could marry an inorganic vein and give birth to gold.

4. Mysterious . . . This is where the petrified jasperized burnt black tree is more dispersed into the surrounding vein and shows jasper dominant but clearly can see the wood grain alittle. This is it's CARBON FOOTPRINT so to speak.It is very beautiful.

5. Mystic . . . This is just further out from the main tree and very little of the tree is seen except as bog. Some of these are Magical as well and can be quite glamorous to look at in sunlight.

6. Mystical . . . This is Mystic Jaspagate that one thin line of the black across it.These are often Magical.

7. Twilight . . . This is extra gemmy pockets of agate with the sparkle( Similar to goldstone) Often is facet grade for rings.

8. Morning . . This is a Hard Jasper that goes from brown to yellow.Some is flowering.

9. Bloody Morning . . . This is a jaspagate with the red blood blotches. If it is hard Jasper then it is called Blood.

10. Lightning . . . I get White and Blue lightning which is a healed fracture. The White Lightning is Audulaia Moonstone and the Blue Lightning is Agate.

11. Snowing . . . This is where the White ash from the burning spread out as a bog inclusion in the vein.


I Carry NEWPORT,OREGON BEACH AGATES (beachers) which is some of the best agate in the world on some of them. Yes . . . I have butterscotch beachers and BlueBlackers. I stock various PETRIFIED WOODS. My Black Walnut and Butternut and Sycamore is really highgrade at times and some of the best around.The good stuff comes from THE PRINCESS MINE. I always have some OREGON THUNDEREGGS. Priday Beds at Richardson's Rock Ranch,Lucky Strike,Fredia Beds. We are getting reports of some Highgrade FIRE OBSIDIAN from GLASS BUTTES,OREGON, a favorite of flintknappers and Shaman.

I maintain an inventory of TOP SHAMAN materials for those that collect energy stones. Some say they have magic in them, like RAINBOW IRIS AGATE, FIRE OBSIDIAN, Shadow Parallax, Golden Light Shadow Iris, Plume Agate and the powerful CANARY STONE.
